Biography Thelma B. Wright, MD Assistant Professor Thelma B. Wright, MD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. Dr. Wright serves as Director of the University of Maryland Pain Management Clinic at Kernan Hospital in Baltimore. She is also Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program at University of Maryland. Dr. Wright received her medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She served her Internal Medicine internship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Wright completed her Anesthesiology residency and Pain Medicine fellowship at University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Wright is a member of several professional societies, including the Association of Anesthesiology Subspecialty Program Directors, the Maryland Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Medical Association. She is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. Dr. Wright has written numerous publications and has delivered national and international presentations on pain management.
